This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are experiencing issues with product variations not being selectable or functional in translated versions of your website, affecting customer purchases.
Solution:
If you're facing this issue, we recommend that you ensure your global attributes are properly synced and translated. First, check that your attributes are set up as global attributes under Products > Attributes. These attributes should automatically sync from the original product to its translations.
Next, you need to translate these global attributes. To do this, navigate to WPML > Taxonomy Translation. Before translating, set the attributes to "Translatable - only show translated items" in WPML > Settings > Taxonomies Translation. For a detailed guide on translating taxonomies, visit Translating Post Categories and Custom Taxonomies.

If this solution does not resolve your issue or seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket.

Symptoms:
Product variations are not working properly in translated versions of the site. Customers are unable to select different variations and complete purchases.

Why are product variations not working in translated versions of the site?
How can I resolve the issue with product variations to ensure customers can complete purchases?

Hello,

Our apologies for the delay in getting back to you, but please take note that a wait time of 24 hours is usual on our support forum, as we always have a high amount of support requests.

The access credentials that you provided on chat are no longer available on this ticket, which is why I would need to request them again.

But first, please open the original product on the WordPress Editor and take a look at the right sidebar inside the section "Language".

Please confirm if any of the translation is marked as "Duplicate".

Best regards
Andreas

It is expected, that you can not edit the attributes on translated products.

If you use global attributes, that are created as Products > Attributes, then they will be synced from the original product to the translations.

The translations for those global attributes you need to create at WPML > Taxonomy Translation.

To be able to translate them, you first need to go to WPML > Settings > Taxonomies Translation and set the attributes to "Translatable only show translated items".
