This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client needs to manually translate individual strings on their site but is unable to do so because all the strings are stuck on 'Waiting for translator'. The client has tried to solve this issue by following a forum topic but couldn't cancel the 'waiting for translator' status as the strings were not selected in 'Jobs'.
Solution:
We recommended that the client should ensure that all required languages are assigned to their user profile. This can be done by visiting the WPML Translators Management page and clicking on the pencil icon to add other languages to the user profile. Here is the link to manage translators: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/wpml-admin-capabilities/#add-translator
After adding the languages, the client should navigate to the Translation Management Jobs page, filter by 'strings', and check if they can now manage the translation jobs.
If this solution does not resolve the issue or seems irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please open a new support ticket at https://wpml.org/forums/forum/english-support/ for further assistance.
