[Resolved] We use Kubio Pro page builder and translated pages don't use the designer.
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client is using Kubio Pro page builder and encounters an issue where the layout is not applied when translating a page. The client also experienced an error when trying to translate a template and is considering a complete reset of translations or the plugin.
The site is not yet accessible from outside (might be later at hidden link) but the gist is:
we use Kubio Pro, and when we translate a page, it does not get the layout applied.
We are not sure how to solve this, in case it is not possible we might have to ask for a refund from you.
1. I checked all our forum's existing tickets - there are no mentions of this exact page builder (this doesn't mean that the plugin is not compatible with WPML, it could be but you might need specific steps to make it work with WPML and in order to find out those steps, I would recommend that you reach out to their support here: hidden link
From what I can see, you are missing the header and the footer, so probably they are using a specific page template for that page and it doesn't get applied to the translations.
2. I also checked their website and I also checked on Google - there is no mention whatsoever about their plugin being compatible with WPML, but, again, I would definitely shoot them a message asking them about this.
If their product is not compatible with WPML, please recommend them to join our 'Go Global' program (https://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/go-global-program/) where our Compatibility developers will help them make their product 100% compatible with WPML for free.
3. If, in the end, you would like to ask for a refund for your WPML subscription, you should be able to send a refund request from under your WPML account here and our "Accounts" team will process it afterward: https://wpml.org/purchase/refunds/
We only offer technical support here, on the forum, we don't have access to refund customers.
When I try to translate a template (which is technically a page) i get this error.
For what is worth, initially there were two templates called Page, and the wrong one got translated. I tried to delete it but now i get this error when I'm on your end to do the translation.
Things are acting pretty weird, that's why I recommended to get in touch with the support team of that plugin because, there are situations where there's specific steps that need to be followed for specific plugins in order to work with WPML.
The most popular ones have an amazing implementation with WPML and they (and even us, on our site) have available documentation for them but there are thousands of other plugins/themes that are not super popular and that maybe don't have the information online so for those, it is important that you get in touch with the support theme.
