This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You successfully translated a page from Dutch to English, but when trying to review the translation using the eye button, WordPress redirects to the Reactions page instead of showing the translation.
Solution:
If you're experiencing this issue, we recommend you follow these steps:
1) Ensure you take a full backup of your site and database. It's advisable to perform these steps on a development or staging site first.
2) Deactivate all plugins except for WPML and String Translation.
3) Switch to a standard theme, such as 2024 or 2021.
4) Check if the issue still occurs.
5) Reactivate your plugins one by one, checking for the issue after each activation to identify any conflicts.
6) If the issue does not reoccur after all plugins are activated, switch back to your original theme to check if the theme is causing the problem.

This solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. If these steps do not resolve your issue, please visit our support forum to open a new support ticket. Background of the issue:
I translated the contact page from Dutch to English successfully. However, when I attempted to check the German translation page using the eye button, I encountered an issue. The link to the page where the issue can be seen is hidden link.

Symptoms:
When I push the eye button to check the German translation, WordPress switches automatically to the Reactions side instead of displaying the German page for review.

Questions:
Why does WordPress switch to the Reactions side when I try to view the German translation?
How can I view and correct the German translation page without this issue?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Before proceeding further, can you please try the following?

1) Take a full backup of your site and database before proceeding. It is highly advised to try these on a dev or staging site first, so your live site isn't compromised.
2) Deactivate all plugins except WPML and String Translation.
3) Switch to a standard theme like 2024 or 2021.
4) Check for the issue if it still happens.
5) Then start activating plugins one by one while keep checking for the issue. This way you 'll be able to pinpoint a conflict when & where it starts creating the problem.
6) If after activating all plugins you see that it still works fine, then switch to your theme and see if that's causing it.

Please let me know your findings and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.

Hi,

After trying I found another way.

I went to the Dutch Contact page and made a copy directly translated to German.
Using this possibility under the sector Language at the right side. There was at that moment a button available for this.

After that the button disappeared and the German language came visible. See the attached image.

Now the page went available for editing.
The page now is also visible on the web.

Kind regards,
René
