Background of the issue:
I am using WPML to translate my posts from English to Hebrew on my site hidden link. When posts are translated automatically, the slug/permalink is also translated. I want to keep the original English slug when translating into Hebrew, so only '/he' is added before it to differentiate between languages.

Symptoms:
When I switch from a Hebrew version back to the English version, it doesn't work because the Hebrew slug contains UTF-8 characters, which WPML doesn't support for smooth switching.

Questions:
What steps do I need to take to ensure that the slug is not translated and is kept exactly as in the original post?
Why are the settings to prevent slug translation being ignored?
