Thank you for contacting us. I've reviewed the documentation provided by Dario, and it appears that he isn't utilizing the "Advanced Translation Editor" like we are on our end to translate the WooCommerce tabs.
To further investigate, I'll need to closely examine your website. Could you please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the issue has been replicated, if possible? This will enable me to offer more effective assistance and determine if any configurations need adjustment.
Please ensure you have a backup in place for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can utilize the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Rest assured, your upcoming reply will be handled confidentially and will only be visible to you and me.
To resolve the issue, I may require your consent to temporarily deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This underscores the importance of having a backup.
Upon inspection, it appears that the string translation method is not functioning correctly. Could you kindly install the WooCommerce Tab Manager plugin on our sandbox site located here: hidden link ? Once installed, please attempt to replicate the issue. If the problem can be replicated on the sandbox site, I will escalate it to our 2nd Tier Support team for further investigation.
It seems that the functionality is working on our sandbox site. Upon rechecking your website, it appears to be functioning correctly there as well. What I did was make minor adjustments to the page title hidden link and re-translate it into Finnish. The tab information now prompts for translation, as illustrated in the attached screenshot. Could you attempt this with another language and inform me of the outcome?
Just to clarify, making minor edits to the primary page title refreshes the Advanced Translation Editor, thus rescanning the product for new content.
Hello Kor,
thank you for your support, we have tried and now the translation tab option is showing when we want to translate it. But we are facing with bigger problem now and we need a solution.
Here is a short description of that:
- In the image below we show the translation Tabs, we can not click SAVE (complete translation), because it requires all of the tabs to be translated, not only the two that we need it.
Because our products are already translated its causing us a problem if we click only on the plus and make them complete, it translates them to English and we lose the manual translation that we have already done.
So we need a solution where we only translate the CUSTOM TABS because because everything else is already translated.
Best Regards,
*** your user name and pass is still active so you can try it
That's the functionality of the "Advanced Translation Editor" – you must finish all translations before clicking "Complete."
To streamline your process, I recommend opening another browser window to use the "Advanced Translation Editor" and then copy-pasting the translations into it.
I think there should be some other solution because some of the products are translating normally. We just select a language and we change the name of the tabs, and that it is. For example this product:
hidden link hidden link hidden link hidden link hidden link
and everything works perfectly. But in some other products, it makes overwrites on the translation, when we change from one language to another, and don't remember the changes.
