[Waiting for user feedback] WPML & ACF, when I switch language, all the fields in field groups disappear but want the same field...

Background of the issue:
I am using WPML and ACF on my site hidden link. I want the same fields in field groups to appear in all languages when I switch languages.

Symptoms:
When I switch language, all the fields in field groups disappear.

Questions:
How can I ensure that the same fields in field groups appear in all languages when using WPML and ACF?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting WPML Support. Sorry for the delay due to high workload and the reply time will be shorter from now.

Could you please try to follow the below steps and see if this resolves the issue.

1. Take a backup of your site first for safety reasons.
2. Set the “Field Groups (acf-field-group)” post type to “Not Translatable” from WPML >> Settings > Post Types Translation section as you can see in the attached screenshot.
3. Press the Save button.
4. After that set the Translation preference of each field group by following this doc: https://wpml.org/documentation/related-projects/translate-sites-built-with-acf/#setting-field-group-translation-option

Please let me know if this resolves the issue or if you need further assistance with this issue.

Hi Noman

Have done that and followed your advice but when viewing a field group in default English, I see all the fields. When I switch the language and view the same field group, I see a single blank field ready for adding. How can I keep all the same fields in all languages? Fields groups are set to use same fields for all languages.

Thanks for trying the above steps. To take a closer look at this issue, please provide temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP Login info) to your site (preferably staging site), so that I can look into your setup and debug the issue.

✙ I would need your permission to deactivate and reactivate Plugins and the Theme and to change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is essential.
