Background of the issue:
After the recent updates of the plugin WPML, I am trying to use the Advanced Translation Editor with the settings 'Translate What You Choose' and 'Let me review it before it gets published'. If I switch to the classic editor, the text looks correct, but I have never used the classic editor on this website. Link to a page where the issue can be seen: hidden link

Symptoms:
When I open the Advanced Translation editor of a page, some words are automatically translated even though I expect to see the actual text without automatic translations.

Questions:
Why is the Advanced Translation Editor automatically translating some words?
How can I stop the Advanced Translation Editor from automatically translating content?
