Background of the issue:
Our client and a translation agency are trying to use the automated translation via DeepL on the site hidden link. We are using ACF fields managed through ACFML. We have tried setting the fields to copy once and duplicating the pages to another language, which works, but when we enable automatic translations, the fields are lost. The same issue occurs when we set the fields to be translated; after the translation, the fields are missing in the translated content. We have not followed any specific documentation, mainly relying on WPML support forums and some WPML guides.
Symptoms:
Not all ACF fields are getting translated when using automatic translations via DeepL. Fields are missing in the translated content.
Questions:
Could you help us determine which settings are not according to the specifications?

Hello,
If you duplicated the contents that are holding the custom fields, then those duplicates will always be overwritten with the origian content, once the original content is getting saved.
You need to open the duplicated content inside the WordPress Editor and click "Translate independently" inside the right sidebar to convert the duplicate to a translation.
Next, take note that you can not use the WordPress Editor and the WPML Translation Editor at the same time. If you translate content on the WordPress Editor, then the WPML Translation Editor will overwrite those changes.
Revise the original content inside the right sidebar of the WordPress Editor and make sure that the proper translation method is set.
For using automatic translation the translation method needs to be "WPML Translation Editor".
Now, when using the WPML Translation Editor for translating contents that contain ACF fields, you should set the ACF Field Groups that are used on this content to "Same fields across languages".
This field group translation preference will make sure that allo fields are configured automatically for the usage of the WPML Translation Editor.
You find this setting option when editing the field group in ACF.
If you now send the content to automatic translation the ACF fields should get translated as expected.
Let me know if further assistance is needed.
Best regards
Andreas
