This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing an error in the WP Admin stating 'WPML could not create a cache directory in /nas/content/live/brownhealth/wp-content/uploads/cache/wpml/twig/'. This issue started after moving their website from Flywheel to WP Engine.
Solution:
If you're experiencing a similar issue, we recommend you first try to clear any stuck notifications by going to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting and clicking on "Remove all messages and notifications". Then, clear the WP Engine cache, especially the object cache, as they likely have external object caching. If the problem persists, check if the "wp-content/uploads/cache/wpml/twig" directory is empty or if it contains any files. An empty directory would indicate a real issue.
Please note that the solution provided might be irrelevant due to being outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking the related known issues, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.
