Hey there, I checked it but the Rest API remains disabled. This feature is important for WPML to work properly. It is used by our plugin to import some MO files and to manage the Advanced Translation Editor in general: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/rest-api-dependencies/ To check if it is enabled/disabled, please go to WPML -> Support -> WordPress -> REST enabled. Alternatively, please try to access this endpoint: hidden link Currently, an error message is displayed. In a site where this option is enabled, this end point would bring information about the languages available in the site. Kindly check this with your host/server support and update us once this has been enabled. Please let us know. Mateus |

Hey there, I have checked this internally once more, I double-checked it and the REST API is really important for WPML to run properly. Please check this article: https://wpml.org/documentation/support/rest-api-dependencies/ I'm afraid that until it is totally enabled, this could create some unexpected behavior while using WPML in general. I made one other test, I installed the previous version of WPML to see if I was able to run the wizard. If I was able to, then I'd update WPML right away. Unfortunately, that didn't work, the same blank screen showed up for me, but I was able to observe something interesting while doing this test: When I was temporarily running the previous version of WPML, the button 'update' was available within the plugins list. I tried to update that version, just as a test, and I got the following error message: 'Update failed: Download failed. cURL error 51: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name 'wpml.org''. That indicates that there's something blocking the access form your site to wpml.org. This is something that the host provider and/or the server administrator will have all the tools to debug and fix. Alternatively, if the block remains in place, what you can do as a workaround is to install WPML in a local copy of your site, or in a different server where the connection to WPML isn't blocked, and run the wizard. Then you can migrate the site to your production server, and that version will have WPML properly setup. Kind regards, Mateus |
