This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client is experiencing an issue where media processing is stuck in the WordPress CMS.
Solution:
If you're facing a similar issue with stuck media processing in WordPress using WPML, we recommend the following steps:
1. Navigate to WPML → Translation Management or WPML → Translation Dashboard in your WordPress admin.
2. Click on the Jobs tab to view all translation jobs, including those for media.
3. Identify any jobs that are marked as 'in progress' or 'stuck' and select them.
4. Click the Cancel button to remove these jobs from the queue.
5. If the media remains stuck, edit the original page or post containing the media, make a minor edit (like adding a space), and save it.
6. Optionally, resend the page for translation to create a new job, bypassing the stuck one.
After these steps, check the Media Library and WPML → Media Translation section to ensure the media is no longer processing. If issues persist, clear your site's cache and reload the admin.
Additionally, you can try navigating to WPML > Support > Troubleshooting link and click on "Cancel in-progress automatic jobs". If the problem continues, consider toggling the media translation settings off and on as shown in the WPML settings.
If these solutions do not resolve the issue or if they seem outdated or irrelevant to your specific case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. Should you need further assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.
