Hi ,

We can definitely test the beta version of the wcml.that addresses the issue with klarna.

Do you have any feedback as too my last Entry where my developer found the corrupted files
That where causing the issue for us that the klarna checkout foes not stay enabled when wcml.is switched on. This may be a,separate issue. As the other issue was with the settings not showing
In klarna plugin.
Please look at let me know as those files are corrupted, and as soon as we can fix that we can use our che out again. It's been 5 days and it really hurts our small business.

Hi,

The beta version did not solve the issue of enable klarna checkout button remaining enabled.
My developer says this -
unfortunately this version of the plugin did not solve the problem.
in my last research I identified the problem in the translation strings, this is done by the plugin "WPML String Translation"
1\. if you disable the WPML String Translation plugin, the error with klarna does not occur
2\. if I add a new language, the problem will not occur in the new language, the problem exists only in three current languages ​​FR, DE, SV
3\. if I leave the WPML String Translation plugin active and start deleting translation strings in the wordpress admin panel, after deleting some of the translations, the error also disappears

so my conclusion is that there is an error in the translation strings, but I can not understand which strings cause this error since there are a lot of translation strings, today I will also continue my research since I feel that I am very close to the answer
pass my research to wpml support, I think this should suggest a solution to them

I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the support service offered by wpml. There seems to be numerous conflicts with the plugin, but you have only focused on one, completely ignoring the crucial one to our website which is that one of the files is corrupted and affects enabling the actual checkout. We have now not been able to take payment because of this issue for 5 days, and that is 5 days too many for a small business where every order counts. I even hired a developer who has now found the problem 2 days ago and we have shared this information with you so you could fix it, but I have not even been replied to. Your last devloper Nicolas did not even read the thread to be aware of the problem of the checkout, simply offered the beta version to test. Which I can say did not solve the checkout problem, and does not solve the issue of klarna checkout - all payment options being shown.

Beacause of the lack of attention to this pressing issue, the devloper has solved the issue for us of the checkout. So now at least that works, which is a relief, but I am very disappointed that I had to take care of this myself.

Now I ask you kindly to properly read the thread and understand that there are 3 problems.
1) settings dont show in the klarna checkout plugin due to conflict with wpml
2) wcml blocks all the payment options for klarna checkout showing in the checkout.( we turned off wcml and the checkout shows as it should with payment options 1) card, 2 invoice, 3) pay later. With scml activated only card payments show.)
3) Corrupted wpml files - causing the enable checkout button in klarna checkout plugin to not stay activated.

We fully understand how critical this is for your business, and it is never our intention to overlook or minimize the severity of the problem.

While we have not been able to reproduce the issue in a clean environment, we do acknowledge that one of the known issues you raised is valid, and a fix for that is already planned for an upcoming release.

To further assist, I’ll also be setting up a clean install that you’re welcome to test against, so we can continue to isolate any other conflicts more effectively. Let's outline the different issues below:

1) settings dont show in the klarna checkout plugin due to conflict with wpml
- We are aware of this issue and a permanent fix will be included in an upcoming release of WooCommerce Mutlilingual.

2) wcml blocks all the payment options for klarna checkout showing in the checkout.( we turned off wcml and the checkout shows as it should with payment options 1) card, 2 invoice, 3) pay later. With scml activated only card payments show.)
- I have not been able to reproduce this issue, but I have set up a clean install with WPML and WooCommerce installed and I added Klarna Checkout for WooCommerce. Can you please take a look at the test site and make sure the settings I have in Klarna match your settings on your live site? I want to make sure I am reproducing the issue precisely so that we can get this resolved and report it if it is a general bug. Here's the link to the test site: hidden link

3) Corrupted wpml files - causing the enable checkout button in klarna checkout plugin to not stay activated.
- I set up this test site just now and went to WooCommerce -> Settings -> Payments. I checked the box to enable Klarna and there was no problem, I refreshed the page and the box remains checked.

You mentioned your developer found corrupt files - can you please tell me which files they found that were corrupt, and what exactly was corrupted? I did review the screenshots but saw String Translation, nothing related to a file. I'll be happy to review the file that you found and share your findings with our development team once I have more information.

Thanks for your continued assistance, it is important for me to get WPML and Klarna working correctly on your site.

Hi,

After many hours our developer managed to fix the issue with the corrupted files. He spent hours going through them to find the corrupted strings and fixed the issue with the klarna checkout staying disabled. This also fixed the issue with the payment options not showing in klarna. It is very unfortunate that I had to spend alot of time money and stress when it I feel it could have been solved earlier if the issue had been attended to, but since there where no proper replies to my developers feedback on the issue, we had to try to solve the issue ourselves. WE where very lucky to find a developer who is a wpml expert and did not give up on us or the issue.

So now we have only issue 1 to fix and I will reinstall the beta version on the staging site to give you some feedback on if it fixes the settings.

Please let me know the results of testing the beta version.

Also, in regards to the corrupted files/strings, if you can send me the names of the files/strings that were corrupted, as previously requested, I would be happy to look further into this. Without knowing which files you have been referring to, there's not a whole lot I can do to try and find what happened. I know your developer resolved the issue but I'll be happy to look into it further if you can send me the details.
