This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client needed to resolve an issue where the English language page was not fully translated. Solution: We recommended resaving the settings in WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation. This action resolved the issue, and the English language page displayed as fully translated.
If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, please do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at our support forum.
This is the technical support forum for WPML - the multilingual WordPress plugin.
Everyone can read, but only WPML clients can post here. WPML team is replying on the forum 6 days per week, 22 hours per day.
There are details of my problem.
We finally decided we needed a copy of the website so your guy could work. I got the green light to conduct tests and research on the current website.
Thanks for your reply. Alright then, I will require temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP) to a test site where the problem has been replicated, if possible. This will enable me to provide better assistance and determine if any configurations need to be modified.
Please note that it is important to have a backup for security purposes and to prevent any potential data loss. You can use the UpdraftPlus plugin (https://wordpress.org/plugins/updraftplus/) to fulfill your backup requirements.
Your upcoming reply will be treated with confidentiality and will only be visible to you and me.
✙ To resolve the issue, I may need your consent to deactivate and reactivate plugins and the theme, as well as make configuration changes on the site if necessary. This emphasizes the significance of having a backup.
Before I proceed with the investigation, I’d like to clarify the issue to make sure we’re on the same page. I’ve checked your website. Are you referring to the missing ACF fields on the translated page here? hidden link
Yes, exactly, all ACF blocks are missing on the translated pages. In WMPL editor I see all strings from ACF blocks, but blocks are not visible on the pages after translation.
Thanks for your patience. I will need a snapshot of the site to troubleshoot this further locally. Alternatively, with your permission, I can create one myself. For this purpose, I typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you're already familiar with Duplicator (https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded. https://wpml.org/de/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/
To guide you further, please adhere to these instructions:
1. View the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link
2. If the archive file exceeds 400MB, please use Duplicator's file filters to exclude cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.
Once you have the archive file ready, kindly share the link with us. You can utilize platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar for file sharing, as the snapshot file might be large.
Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the file link there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.
Thanks for your reply. When I try to open your site on my local development setup, I’m getting the error shown in the attached screenshot. Do I need to add any custom code or configuration for it to work correctly in a local environment? The error is pointing to your custom theme.
Alternatively, it would be even better if you could replicate the issue on our sandbox site here: hidden link
You can install the required theme and plugins there to reproduce the problem.
Thanks for your reply. We’ll need to carry out more in-depth troubleshooting on your website, so it would be best to do this on a staging or local development site to avoid affecting your live site.
Would you be able to clone the site to a staging environment so I can investigate the issue further?
Thanks for your reply. I resaved the settings in WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation, and it seems to fix the issue you had there. Now the English language page is fully translated, as shown here hidden link . Could you check?
