This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
A notice about "WPML plugin cannot connect to wpml.org" is displayed in plugins page, even WPML plugins are not installed. Only using Toolset plugins.

Solution:

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss.

- Search for "wp_installer_settings" key in "wp_options" table (where wp_ is the standard prefix for WordPress tables, check the *_options table as per yours).

- Delete the said key "wp_installer_settings".

- Register the site again with same key (i.e. same key you used to register Toolset on your site in Plugins -> Add New -> Commercial).

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

I need to take a closer look at your site. So I request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP), preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated.

Your next answer will be private, to share this information safely.

Also provide detailed steps to reproduce the issue and links to pages in admin and on frontend.

IMPORTANT: Please take a complete backup of the site to avoid data loss.

See https://wpml.org/purchase/support-policy/privacy-and-security-when-providing-debug-information-for-support/ for details on privacy and security.

Regards.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation.

I've discussed the matter with the team and for now there's the following workaround:

IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand.

And let me know if this works for you or not.

Thank you for the access, I logged in and installed phpMyAdmin plugin to check the DB. This is strange that there's no "wp_installer_settings" found in the table.

I've asked for an opinion from the team and 'll get back to you accordingly.

Meanwhile, can you simply unregister Toolset and register again on this site? And check if it helps.

Thank you for the updates. I checked in your site and I can see that Toolset has been unregistered (see attached).

From your video it looks like some caching problem.

I'll advise to clear all caches, disable cache plugin(s) temporarily, register Toolset and try again.

Please let me know.
