Background of the issue:
I’m trying to enable automatic translation on our WordPress website (hidden link) using WPML with prepaid credits. I’ve registered the site, assigned 2000+ credits on wpml.org, and everything seems set up.

Symptoms:
WPML on the site still can’t detect the credits or connect properly. When I click 'Recheck my credits and continue translating', I see multiple failed requests in the browser's network tab. Some of the failing endpoints are: processstringsqueue, quota.json, and check_connection_to_wpmlorg. These seem to time out or return no useful data.

Questions:
Why can’t WPML on my site detect the credits or connect properly?
What could be causing the failed requests to WPML servers?
