Background of the issue:
I am trying to generate a page-sitemap using the Yoast SEO plugin, but there is a conflict with the WPML SEO plugin. The issue can be seen at this link: hidden link.
Symptoms:
The Yoast plugin generates a blank empty sitemap instead of a sitemap full of page URLs.
Questions:
Why is the page-sitemap.xml empty when using WPML SEO with Yoast?
How can I resolve the conflict between WPML SEO and Yoast to generate a proper sitemap?

I tried reproducing this here: hidden link
But it would seem to be something in particular on your site: hidden link
That being said, to troubleshoot this problem, I'll install the Duplicator plugin and generate packages for further debugging purposes. I'll ensure to exclude all media files to maintain a minimal package size. You can find more information about the process here: [link](https://wpml.org/faq/provide-supporters-copy-site/). Please confirm if this approach is acceptable to you.
Just to add, the link you send of the page-stiemap in your sandbox shows the pages. But not correctly. It does not show the correct URLs. For instance domain.com/about-us/ and then for german domain.com/de/uber-uns/ en then for Spanish the /es/
If i disable WPML SEO plugin, my site also generates the page-sitemap.xml correctly including the translations... but the URL structures are without the /de/ and /es/ for the other languages.

We resolved the issue by manually removing the `&ssl=1` parameter from affected pages in the sitemap. We reviewed each page's source code, identified those containing `&ssl=1`, and removed this parameter by switching to the "Code" view in the Gutenberg editor for each page, saving the changes afterward. This was necessary on 5-6 pages before the issue was fully resolved.
We also attempted to reproduce the issue locally by manually adding `&ssl=1` as per Yoast's guidelines for adding images to XML sitemaps. However, it displayed correctly on our end without decoding issues.
If you have another website available for testing, that would help us investigate further, as the issue isn’t recurring on our end after the recent fixes.
I will try this with the pages on the website. I do not know if this is possible with elementor. To my knowledge we have no code view.... but i will check.
I have read through the description of the Jetpack ssl=1 problem. But I have no problem with images. I also cant remove the ssl=1, if i do it in Gutenberg... the elementor settings are discarded. <-- but again I do not have a problem with images being indexed.
I have a problem with the multilingual sitemap for pages. /page-sitemap.xml generated by Yoast. I debugged with your 1st line support and confirmed thatit was the WPML SEO plugin that caused the blank sitemap... when we disable the plugin the non multilingual page sitemap is generated without a problem. But we need it to be multilingual.
With regards to the copy website I already provided it... please check the history of the chat I had with one of your 1st line agents. ALso see the private messages... you have a complete Staging website were you can test.. But I also provided a copy website..... your agent copied it with migrate plugin from staging to your servers.
So to be clear my WordPress pages sitemap /page-sitemap.xml generated by Yoast is blanc/empty when the WPML SEO plugin is active. The post, product and category sitemap are generated without problems... it is only the pages one that is empty. I have no problem with images...
Feel free to contact me if you need more information.
How do I send you a private message with login details for staging? If you are able to see the previous private messages. You will find the login details there.
