Hi, I made my website the first time and used automatic translation and WPML made my site in almost 8 languages. Everything was good! Then I was not happy with the translation so I edited 3 languages manually. What I was doing is; go on my website, select the language in wpml selector and edit the page with elementor to edit my content all at once.

Then I was not happy with the website itself so I paid a professional to do it, the whole site changed and the content also!

Now I have my new website, I have a lot more content! I am seeing that I do not have enough credit to have my website i many languages. I already have my professional translation content in 3 languages so I did not want to use credits for these 3 languages. The first time everything was easy and fine but this time it's a headache and I need help.

Last time WPML even translated "inside" stuff like my contact form, for you to understand...when customers receives an email, it made the clients receive stuff in the proper languages but now I cannot see any options for this.

What I need help with:

1. It says that I have 30 000 credits when I login on WPML but on my website is says that I have 0 credit, why?
2. How can I translate only the "inside" of the website like what I have explained with the emails thing. This means that the main content writing on the website I would do myself manually and all the other things WPML would translate using my credits (30 000) because what kills me is the writing content on my pages...sometimes I have over 600 words.
3. I want to edit the content like I did the first time, this means: Exemple: I go on my website home page, I select the language using WPML selector and choose let say French, the i click on the top of my browser on "edit with elementor" and then I would edit this page WITHOUT changing the content in other languages. Because now if I do this, as soon as I click "edit with elementor" in the "french" page, when elementor loads the page to edit it is on the english page, it does not stay on french. The first time it was not doing this and I was able to edit all my languages pages with elementor.
4. So basically my goal would be, create let say 8 languages...keeping main writing content of pages in english without using my credit, translate the back end..the "inside" using my credits, and all the main writing content on my website I would edit manually, using the method of going to my website, select the language in WPML language selector, then click on edit with elementor without having him to switch back to english, because when I select a language in wpml language selector as soon as I click edit with elementor, when my elementor pages open I see the wpml language selector switched to english
At some point I think that my credits needs to be reset because on my website it says I have 0 and on wpml website it says I have 30000.
I have tried doing the automatic translation with my 10 languages like I did the first time I used WPML on my old website but all it did is I saw my languages in the wpml selector but all the pages in all the languages are in english and my portuguese language it says; page not found.
Last thing, and the word count for my entire website, it was saying 18000 and now it says 20000. I almost made the mistake because i had all the languages and i thought it was saying 18000 credit to finish the translation of my 10 languages but now I just selected 4 languages and it jumped to 20 000 so I think it is for the entire website but in English...not the entire website including all the languages. If it was 18000 credits to translate form a to z, i would maybe do it BUT i do not think it is the case, i do not want to enter my credit card to pay as you go and be charge 1000 reais or more. So if I am right then using credits would be ridiculous, it would be over 200 000 words so probably 1000 reais for me

Sorry the long message, I needed to be clear

Hello,

Please take kindly note, that we usually handle only one issue per ticket, but I will try to answer on all your questions.

1) I currently do this using those credit stats on your website:
Deposited credits: 60000
Used credits: 60000
Available credits: 0

- Did you maybe change the server of the domain provider?

If so, take note that after making such changes the website will need to be registered again on wpml.org.

a) Go to https://wpml.org/de/account/websites/

b) If the site URL is already registered, delete it from the list. Your credits will get assigned back to your wpml.org account.

c) Now enter the site URL again. This creates a new site key.

d) Click on “Show key” and copy it.

e) Enter the key under Plugins > Install > Commercial (Tab) to register WPML again. If WPML is still registered here, deregister it first.

If the problem still persists, please let me know.

----

2) When translating a page or post with the WPML Translation Editor it is expected that the whole content and also any taxonomies and custom fields will get translated.

Inside the right sidebar of the WordPress-Editor you will find the translation method options which only appear on the original content - meaning the content that was created first.

You can choose between "WPML Translation Editor" or "WordPress Editor" but you can not use both methods at the same time.

---

3) The problem is, that if on the original content, the WPML Translation Editor is declared as a translation method, and you edit the translation manually inside Elementor, then your translated content will get overwritten once you translate it again with the WPML Translation Editor.

You can not use both methods at the same time.

---

4) You can only choose a translation method per content. This means you can decide if a page or post will get translated with the WPML Translation Editor and use automatic translation or you switch the translation option to "WordPress Editor" and translate manually.

If "WordPress Editor" is used as a translation method, then this content will be excluded from automatic translation.

Best regards
Andreas
