This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was experiencing issues with translating a product, receiving a message that WPML failed to translate the page three times. Additionally, there was a problem with being redirected to the translation queue after adding a new translation, and the new translation not showing any variations.
Solution:
1. We recommended following the steps in the guide to resolve the translation error message: Translation status stuck or displaying the error 'WPML didn't manage to translate this page'.
2. If the problem persisted, we suggested trying the solution in the forum post: Unable to open translation page.
3. For the issue of being redirected to the translation queue, we advised checking the "WPML > Translation Management > Translators" tab to ensure the language pair is set up correctly and, if necessary, removing the profile from the Translator list if the client is an Admin.
4. If the redirection issue continued, we suggested a workaround mentioned in the Errata: Clicking on the translation icon redirects to WPML Translations instead of ATE.

We also reminded the client to take a full backup of the site before proceeding with any changes. If these solutions do not seem relevant, we encourage opening a new support ticket for further assistance: WPML support forum.

Hello,
Whilst trying to translate a product I received this message:
'WPML tried to translate this page three times and failed. To get it fixed, contact WPML support'

The product is this:
hidden link

I'm quite sure that I already had all products from that series translated.

This one has also lost one of the materials - it shows only one type of paper.

I have de-. and reactivated WPML but that did not help.

I am really trying to get to know WPML and make it work, but there are numerous problems now. It doesn't help to be told that opening several issues will result in slower answering times. I am wondering if if I will be able to complete and maintain the translation of this site with WPML.
I look forward to hearing from you,
Klaus

Hello Prosenjit,

many thanks for your reply. This issue has changed now - since the updates and synching from the other ticket. However, now when adding a new translation I am diverted to the translation queue. After the translation is completed - I ma still diverted to this translation queue and it still shows as 'Take and Translate' (see screenshot). The new translation is there but doesn't show any variations.

With many thanks,

Hello Klaus,
Thank you for the update.

Glad to hear that the issue is no longer happening!

Since you are being redirected to the "Translations Queue" each time you try to add a translation, your profile might have been set up as a translator, but the language pair may not be configured correctly. I suggest going to the "WPML > Translation Management > Translators" tab to verify that the language pair is set up properly. If you are the Admin, you have the option to remove your profile from the Translator list, as an Admin is able to translate from and to any language without this restriction.

If the issue persists, could please try the workaround mentioned in the Errata below and check if that helps to solve the issue?

Let me know the update. I will be happy to help if you need further assistance in this matter.
