Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate the short description of Dutch products on our WooCommerce site, which is in 3 languages (NL / EN / DE). I use the Advanced Translate Editor but the short description does not appear for translation. I have tried re-indexing under Support > Troubleshooting without success. When I delete and recreate the English and German products, the short description appears, but I want to avoid this as it would mean losing existing translations. The issue can be seen on this page: hidden link.

Symptoms:
The short description of products does not appear in the Advanced Translate Editor for translation into English and German. Re-indexing did not resolve the issue. The short description is visible on the Dutch page but not on the English or German pages.

Questions:
How can I make the short description appear in the Advanced Translate Editor without deleting and recreating products?
Is there a way to update the translation editor to include all strings without losing existing translations?

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the support.

Before proceeding further, may I request that instead of deleting the translation, can you please try the following steps?

- Open the product in default language for editing.
- Make a small change in the content (i.e. a word or dot).
- Save.
- Update the translation.

And see if the short description appears in the translation editor and is translatable?

Please let me know and I'll try my best to help you further on the matter.

Regards.
