I've translated pages by xliff import. Now I have redesign and minor content changes on default language page.
The translation from xliff is not present in Advanced Translation Editor. And redesign is not activated on translated pages. The original translation and design are present on translated pages.
How I can do those minor changes in content manually and activate redesign?

Hi there,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I'd be happy to help you with this issue.

If you are using the XLIFF file to update the translation that means you are using the Classic Translation Editor and the translation does not support displaying in Advanced Translation Editor. It is an expected behavior, please read more on the documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/translation-editor-options/

If a minor change in the page content and design does not trigger updating the translation (circle arrows), you can try to make a small change to the page title in the original language and save the changes. After translating the page completely, you can set it back and update the translation again.
Also, please don't enable the option "Minor edit - don't update translation" above the button "Update".

Look forward to your reply.
Thanks

Thank you very much.
Now I understand the problem. But the solution will be painfully annoying - manually to copy all to Advance Translation Editor. Since I will regularly do changes to pics and minor changes to text Advance Translation Editor should be standard option to all pages.
Still I don't understand if I change only a picture in original language page why it is not done to translated pages automatically. This should be a setting that I miss, shouldn't it?

Regarding switching Editors. I'm sure there is technical reasons for this but... I don't want to ask professional service to translate every minor change. It will be annoying for translators considering the work volume and it will be annoying for me to wait 1-2 weeks for changing a description of product feature, for example. I'll be glad to have solution that makes my changes in more easier and less time consuming way.

Hi,

Thank you for your feedback.

1. If you change an image in the original language page, no need to translate the image, WPML will help you to do that but you need to update the translation. There is no way to automatically update a translation unless you use the Automatic Translation feature. Please read more on the documentation https://wpml.org/documentation/automatic-translation/

2. It is also written down in the documentation https://wpml.org/faq/why-arent-my-translations-showing/#translation-memory-faqs
If you translate the small change on your own, the translation service still needs to translate the changes on their end.

"If you are making a small change, you can update the translation yourself using the Classic Translation Editor. Please note, these changes will need to be retranslated by the translation service if you ever submit the content to them for updating."

I hope that makes sense.
