Background of the issue:
I installed wpml seo plugin plus I have yoast seo I am using /de/ for my website for second language
unfortunately the site map for the second language is not generating with yoast seo. it seems wpml is not compatible with seo
I want to have seprate seo setting on search console for my german language but this is not working
Symptoms:
The sitemap for the second language is not generating with Yoast SEO. It seems WPML is not compatible with SEO.
Questions:
Why is the sitemap for the second language not generating with Yoast SEO?
How can I set up separate SEO settings on Search Console for my German language site?
I look at my site map the second language is inside the first language site map for example for pages /de/ is in pages sitemap or for product /de/shop are in the same site map is that ok?

Different sitemaps per language is only available when using different domains per languages, with the format you are using (directories) the sitemaps are all in one place and this will not create any issues with search engines.
