This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client was trying to make an exact copy of their site for translation purposes but encountered issues with the design of categories and product pages losing their design in the translated versions. They noticed that WooCommerce Multilingual was not installed and were unsure how to proceed with translating the shop.

Solution:
We recommended translating content manually with the WordPress editor, as per our documentation for Yootheme compatibility: https://wpml.org/theme/yootheme/, and using different translation editors for different pages: https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/.
We provided a workaround for applying the product template to the translated product:
1. Save the Single Product layout in the Yootheme template.
2. Translate the product manually in the WordPress editor.
3. Apply the Single Product layout with the Yootheme builder to the translated product.
Important note: the user language in Users > Profile affects the language of the template. You should select the language as the site's default language when configuring the Yootheme template.

We also suggested contacting Yootheme support for further assistance.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If needed, please open a new support ticket with us for personalized assistance.

I'm trying to make the exact copy of the site:) just to translate it.

I followed all documentation, youtube, forums.

The problem is in the categories and product's pages - they lost their design... I checked 5 times, it is assigned to all languages in Yootheme editor. The shop page is ok.

Is there a similar example that we can see?
No

What is the link to your site?

Hi Mariia,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

According to our documentation https://wpml.org/theme/yootheme/, you should translate content on your site (product, Yootheme template ...) manually with WordPress editor.
https://wpml.org/documentation/translating-your-contents/using-different-translation-editors-for-different-pages/

While checking the debug info, I see that the WordPress Memory Limit is below the requirements. The minimum requirements are 128M, but we do recommend 256M and the debug information of your site shows it set to 40M. Please check this link for more details
https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/.
You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file, right before the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

After adding the code you can confirm that the memory was changed correctly from WPML > Support > WordPress > Memory limit.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to have a testing site where the issue is replicated. Your next reply is set to private to share the info.

❌ IMPORTANT: Please backup your database and website before proceeding ❌
You can use this plugin to create the backup: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/
✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate Plugins and the Theme to change configurations on the site if needed. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

After checking the issue further, I see that the theme YOOtheme isn't compatible with WPML to translate the template into second languages.

I found a workaround to apply the product template to the translation product:

1. In the admin area > Click on Yootheme > Template > Single Product > Save this layout.

2. Edit the product in the Spanish language > Switch to WordPress editor > Translate the product in English manually.

3. Edit the product with Yootheme builder and apply the Single Product layout.

Please check this translation product page hidden link

For further assistance, I recommend contacting Yootheme support as noted in the documentation https://wpml.org/theme/yootheme/

Thanks.

Thank you!
It still looks very strange...
I will go to Youtheme support, but it looks like nothing will work, because now all product layouts are broken.
May I kindly ask if there is an option to cancel the purchase and get the money back?
I was not expecting this situation, because on the Yootheme page you're the first in the list

And definitely don't want to translate everything again, but I don't see another option...

Hi,

I've tried to replicate the issue on a clean installation of WordPress and don't see the issue with the product category template in the second language. You can see this here

I'm asking our 2nd tier support about this issue on your site and update you here when I have something to share.

Regarding the ACF value on the product page, please double-check the dynamic value in the template and re-save it.

Thanks.

Hi,

I delete the product category template and re-create it and import the current template. Now it works on the translation category page. Can you please recheck the issue?

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

1. I go to Appearance > Menus > Edit the menu in English language > Add the category to the menu and save.
Then go to Yootheme > Menus > Main menu English > Add the image to the menu item.

2. I follow the steps above to re-create the template for the shop (product archive) page.
https://wpml.org/forums/topic/yootheme-templates-broken-layout/#post-15439589

3. The filter is working on the shop page.

Please check the attached screenshots.
