This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problema:

Hi,
recently we transleted a client website (hidden link) with WPML Automatic Translation. Then we published the new language but we noticed that some translated pages, even if those are "published" in the admin panel, are reachable only by logged in users and not by other users. Obviously this problem also affect the english version of the main menu, that seems the right one only if you are logged in.

How can we fix it?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us.

Before your ticket is assigned to one of my colleagues, please allow me to walk you through some initial debugging steps. This will help speed up the support process.

Can you please check the status of those pages to see if they are either 'Draft' or 'Published'?

If they're set to draft, please try to publish them to see if this gets the issue fixed.

Thank you, please let us know.

Hello,

Thank you for sharing the information. Let's try two solutions (please make a backup of your website before proceeding):

1. Go to WPML > Support and click on the troubleshooting link
2. On the new page, click on "Clear the cache in WPML"

If that does not work, please empty all caches from the speed/optimization plugins that you're using.

Let me know if that does the trick. If it doesn't, I'll be here to further support you 🙂

I would like to request temporary access (wp-admin and FTP) to your site to take a better look at the issue. It would be better to a testing site where the issue is replicated.

You will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. The information you will enter is private which means only you and I can see and have access to it.

Maybe I'll need to replicate your site locally. For this, I’ll need to temporarily install a plugin called “Duplicator” or "All in One WP Migration" on your site. This will allow me to create a copy of your site and your content. Once the problem is resolved I will delete the local site. Let me know if this is ok with you.

IMPORTANT

- Please make a backup of site files and database before providing us access.
- If you do not see the wp-admin/FTP fields this means your post & website login details will be made PUBLIC. DO NOT post your website details unless you see the required wp-admin/FTP fields. If you do not, please ask me to enable the private box. The private box looks like this:

Hello,

After checking your website, I noticed there appears to be an error with the status of the translated pages. Even though they have the “Published” status, they still behave as drafts.

To fix that, I simply visited the "Edit" option on the pages in English and clicked on "Update". That solved it. It's probable that this was an specific bug. Please check the pages and see if now they behave as expected.
