[Resolved] Default language message is not displayed when you go to translate it.
This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem: The client was experiencing an issue where the WPML translation editor was not displaying the latest version of the default language content for translation. Despite making updates to the default language content, the translation editor showed an older version. Additionally, there were concerns about Cloudflare and Rest API affecting content translation. Solution: We recommended the following steps to resolve the issue: 1. Edit the content in the original language and make a small change. 2. Save the changes. 3. Navigate to WPML -> Translation Management, select the content, and send it for translation. 4. Go to WPML -> Translations and ensure the content is 100% translated. 5. If the issue persisted, we suggested checking the Rest API status and deactivating Cloudflare temporarily to see if it resolved the issue. 6. In cases where the problem continued, deleting the outdated translation and re-translating the page was advised. 7. We also discovered a database error which was fixed by our 2nd tier support team, resolving the translation issues.
If this solution does not resolve your issue, or if it seems outdated or irrelevant to your case, we highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If problems persist, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am editing the default language on my site hidden link using WPML. I want to ensure that the latest version of the content is available for translation.
Symptoms:
When I try to translate the edited default language, the translation editor shows an older version instead of the newest version.
Questions:
Why is the translation editor not showing the latest version of the default language?
How can I update the translation editor to reflect the newest version of the content?
1.- The cause of the issue might be that the old content is still not fully translated and the translation is stuck. I kindly ask you to follow these steps and let me know if the issue disappeared:
- Edit the content in the original language
- Make a small change to the content
- Save the changes
- Go to WPML -> Translation Management -> Select the content and send it for translation (you can assign it to yourself)
- Go to WPML -> Translations -> Translate the content (make sure it is 100% translated)
- Double-check if the issue disappeared.
Could you tell me the results of the steps described above?
After following the steps described in my message the content is shown correctly in the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE). If you still see any issues, please share a screenshot highlighting the outdated content.
I found a problem in the site that might be causing this issue. You can see in hidden link that the Rest API is disabled, which causes communication problems between WPML and ATE.
Please deactivate the plugins and the theme, one by one, until the error disappears and you find the culprit (I recommend starting with the security plugins). You can also ask your hosting providers if any firewall directive on the server side might be causing this problem.
Once you find the cause of the issue and the Rest API is enabled again, double-check to see if the translation has been updated.
After testing again the issue persists, and the Rest API seems to be working correctly now.
I kindly ask you to follow these steps and check if the issue disappeared:
- Go to Pages -> Switch to English -> Delete the English version of the page we are testing (hidden link)
- Delete it from the trash too
- Translate the page again to English (this won't cost you anything because the translation is already saved in the Translation Memory)
- Double-check if the issue is solved and the updated content is correctly translated to English
