This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You want to disable Automatic Translation for some users on your site but find that the buttons to disable this feature do not work.
Solution:
To disable Automatic Translation for users with the role of Editor or lower, navigate to the Tools tab and select 'Who can use Automatic Translation'. Note that this setting cannot be applied to administrators, as they have full permission to use Automatic Translation. If the users you are trying to restrict have different roles or if you encounter any issues, please provide us with the role of the user and a screenshot of the 'Who can use Automatic Translation' tab for further assistance.

Please be aware that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the problem persists, do not hesitate to open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Hi Annika,

Thank you for contacting WPML support, I’m happy to help you with this issue.

You can disable a local translator with the role Editor or lower from using Automatic Translation in Tools tab > Who can use Automatic Translation, but not for an administrator. An administrator can have full permission to use the automatic translation on your site.

If it isn't your case, please let me know the role of the user and share a screenshot of the tab "Who can use Automatic Translation".

Looking forward to your reply.
Thanks

Hi,

There should be an option to receive the email notification at the top of the first comment, it is available on your end only. Please check the attached screenshot.
Or set the preference on your WPML.org account https://wpml.org/account/account-preferences/

Thanks.
