Problem:

The client is trying to change the sorting of a filter to alphabetical order in English, similar to how it is sorted in Dutch, but are unable to find where to make this change.

Solution:

We recommend following these steps to adjust the filter sorting to alphabetical order in English:

1) Navigate to Smart Filters >> All Filters.
2) Switch to English using the Dashboard language switcher at the top header.
3) Open the 'Teacher' filter for editing.
4) Enable the 'Get Choices From Field Data' option.
5) Save the changes.
6) Visit the English Course page and clear the caches.

Please ensure to back up your site before making these changes on your live site.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to change the sorting of a filter to alphabetical order in English, similar to how it is sorted in Dutch on my site hidden link. I can't find how or where to make this change.

Symptoms:
The filter is not sorting alphabetically in English as it does in Dutch.

Hi Jeffrey,

Welcome to the WPML support forum. I will do my best to assist you in resolving the issue.

I am getting the expected results on the staging site after making the following changes in the filter settings. Please review the attached images for further details.

1) Visit Smart Filters >> All Filters
2) Switch to English via Dashboard language switcher (of the top header)
3) Open the *Teacher* filter for edit
4) Enable *Get Choices From Field Data* option for it
5) Save the changes
6) Visit the English Course page and clear the caches

Please try it on your live site after a site backup and let us know your feedback.
