This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.
Problem:
The client was unable to connect to the automatic translation service, and they noticed untranslated pages even though auto translation was enabled and they had sufficient credits. They also encountered an error which suggested a connection issue with the automatic translation service.
Solution:
We identified that the issue occurred when the 'WP External Links' plugin was activated on the client's site. We provided a workaround based on a similar ticket: https://wpml.org/forums/topic/there-is-a-problem-connecting-to-automatic-translation-19/#post-15187399.
Additionally, we have created documentation for a similar issue which can be found here: https://wpml.org/errata/wp-external-links-plugin-prevents-the-translation-tools-tab-from-loading/.
Please note that the solution provided might be irrelevant if it's outdated or not applicable to your case. If the issue persists, we highly recommend checking related known issues (https://wpml.org/known-issues/), verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket with us.
