I encountered an issue using WPML and GTranslate together as a test.
I can see in the WPML editor that the translated content is still there, but when I view the translated page on the front-end, it doesn’t appear. I believe this happens because G.Translate plugin overwrites the URLs and slugs used by WPML on the front-end, causing WPML’s page translation mapping to become inconsistent. As a result, when using the WPML language switcher, some translated pages appear blank or missing, even though the content is still stored in the WPML database.
WPML and GTranslate work very differently, and you can't use both as your site's multilingual solution. However, if you have this problem only with WPML when GTranslate is deactivated, we would like to get to the bottom of it. If so then please share access to oyur site with me and tell me how to see the problem. I'm enabling a private message for the following reply. Privacy and Security Policy
