Background of the issue:
I translated all backend fixed fields in the WP Rentals Theme. After installing WPML, these fields are replaced with the translated version of a different language. The issue can be seen at hidden link.
Symptoms:
The backend fixed fields get replaced with the translated version of a different language, resulting in fields being either deleted or replaced by their language variant.
Questions:
Why are my backend fixed fields being replaced with a different language after installing WPML?
How can I ensure my default language is respected and not replaced?

please try searching for the custom field labels in WPML > String Translation. The fields you are referring to might already be registered there and available for translation.

Yes, all of them are translated. My problem is, my default language is English. All was/is setup in English. All is translated.
And now, for some reason WPML updated these backend values in options to German, Italian, Croatian... its a mix and match. I fix it back to english, after a day or so, it again gets changed

Thanks for your reply. I’ve checked on this and wanted to ask if you’ve tried translating the strings under Listings Page Text Labels using the String Translation as shown in the attached screenshot.
If you’ve already done that and the issue still persists, please share the URL of the page where the problem appears along with a few screenshots for reference.
Yes, we tried through strings as well. We had a ticket to the similar issue already opened and solved. But they told me we have to open 1 bug per ticket

See image, you see German, and it is supposed to be english. As I mentioned we already transalted this multiple times, directly in theme settings, but also through strings

Are you saying that before installing the WPML plugins, these options are already in English? And once you install WPML, they automatically switch to another language without you making any changes?
Exactly, and then I change to english, save... and then tomorrow its again translated
and its not always the same language. Sometimes its German, sometimes Italian... sometimes mixed...
Its not only those options, there are also some other elements, but I am hoping its connected
