Background of the issue:
I want to style the language switcher using WPML's documentation. I have used the example CSS from the documentation and added PHP code, but it does not reflect any styling changes on the frontend.

Symptoms:
The language switcher does not show the styling changes on the frontend despite following the documentation.

Questions:
Why does it not show in the frontend although implemented it exactly like in the documentation you provided....

The chat was disconnected and as you mentioned you experienced disconnection, I created this ticket and you can follow up here.

The answer will take longer than a chat.

My last answers before the disconnect were:

The PHP file is important to create the structure at the bottom of the page inside wp_footer.

That will cause WordPress to render the language switcher at the end and that will help to implement the feature
Adding to a shortcode does not guarantee a footer rendering
It usually is rendered inside the content which is not we want
