Background of the issue:
I have a multilingual WordPress site using WPML, supporting four languages: English (default), Spanish, Japanese, and Arabic. All translations are created manually from the English content. I do not use automatic translation. I expected translated pages to remain in their correct language content after editing the default English content.
Symptoms:
Whenever I make changes to the English version of a page/post and save it, after a day or two, one of the translated versions gets overwritten with the English content. This issue does not consistently affect all languages. For example, the Spanish version was replaced with English text after an edit, while Japanese and Arabic versions were fine. In another instance, the Japanese translation was overwritten instead.
Questions:
Why are my manual translations being overwritten with English content after editing the default language?
How can I prevent WPML from overwriting my manual translations in the future?
Sure, To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.
So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply. hidden link
I have shared the WP-admin and FTP access details. Please check and let me know the issues along with the fix. This is quite serious, as I have lost a significant amount of traffic due to this issue.
