I have a specific issue that may need another ticket. As translated words with tags in use are being messed up in paragraphs. See screenshots.
In English - the "TM" has a tag.
In Spanish - the "FiresealTM" is all in a tag - which double s the TM.
English - hidden link
Spanish - hidden link
You can fix it this way:
- Go to WPML → Translations (or open the Spanish translation job for that page).
- Open the job in Advanced Translation Editor (ATE).
- Find the segment containing “Fireseal TM” (use search in ATE for “Fireseal”).
- Hover the source text to see which characters are covered by the sup marker.
- In the Spanish translation, select only the “TM” (or only the ™ character, depending on how it appears).
- Click the sup marker under the segment to apply it to the correct selection (and remove it from the wrong selection if needed).
- Save/complete the translation and clear any frontend cache.
Actually - I think this may be user error. I think they wrapped a TM that was already a copied bit of text and added tags.. so I will have them change their process. This can be closed.
