This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing an error message stating 'There is a problem connecting to automatic translation. Please check your internet connection and try again in a few minutes. If you continue to see this message, please contact our support team' when trying to set up Automatic translation with DeepL API, it might be due to using an outdated WPML plugin.
Solution:
We recommend updating your WPML plugin to the latest release version, which is currently 4.6.8. Before you proceed with the update, ensure that you take a full backup of your database and website. To update the WPML plugin, please follow these steps:
1. Visit the documentation on how to update WPML manually,
2. Follow the guide on how to safely update WPML from an old to a new version.
Additionally, make sure to update all third-party and add-on WPML plugins to their latest release versions as well.

If this solution doesn't look relevant, please open a new support ticket in the WPML support forum.
