Tell me please how to fix my problem with links on the pages?
I need to change all links in the translations itdati.lv -> semarahhotels.loc
I tried all: Search and replace plugin, Translate Link Targets option, clear WPML cache.
But I see old links in the translations.

If I change/save the main page I have 2 links for each field in the translations.
1st -> hidden link -> itdati.lv
2nd -> hidden link -> hidden link
Its a problem because I dont know what link translation is good.

I can fix it if I remove Page Builder Page from Packages and translate all from the scratch.
I think should be more easy way.

Hello there,

Can you provide me few pages link where I can see the wrong urls?

Further, To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.

So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.

Sorry, I have this bug locally when I try to migrate hidden link -> hidden link
I can provide the access for hidden link if you need this.

Also you have Duplicator backup of this site. I set it to you yesterday.

Hello 🙂

What you’re seeing is expected behavior—let me explain.

You’re using external links inside the pages. Since these links don’t come from the same site, they’re treated as external rather than internal. During migration, the URLs on the page are updated, but the associated translation jobs don’t get refreshed. As a result, the wrong URLs appear.

To fix this, you can open the page in the editor and update it. This will create a new translation job, refresh the existing jobs, and ensure the links appear correctly. I also noticed the same links are added multiple times, so with the new job you’ll see new entries for each repeated URL.

WPML tries to guess translations based on previous URLs, but since the actual URLs have changed, you’ll need to manually correct them and save the updated translations for now.

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks!

Hello.
Yes, I was saving the main page and then added translations for each language.
But in this case I have two links for the same field after the migration.
I thought if I update all texts in the database with Search and replace plugin I have correctly data in the translations too. No?

Hello there,

No, it wouldn't help as the new changed links aren't in the translations database.

Thanks

How can remove old links from the translations fields because if I make migration 3 times I will have 3 field for each link instead of 1?

For this moment I found a solution to remove translation for the page in Packeges.
But if I have a lot of pages it takes some time to add all translations.

Hello there,

How can remove old links from the translations fields because if I make migration 3 times I will have 3 field for each link instead of 1?

I don't think it's due to migrations, I checked with one pages and it's showing the exact number of links added in the page editor. Update triggered the changes and it's showing the correct numbers.

I would suggest you to check page content and see if those links exists multiple times.

Look forward to your reply.

Thanks

Hello there,

Instead of removing the entry from translations editor, you can correct the url and save the translations. That should be the easy way rather than deleting content and re-translate it.

Thanks

Hello there,

Looks like my response wasn't clear.

Instead of removing the entry from translations editor, you can correct the url and save the translations.

I want you to translate the double urls in the translations editor itself, just save the same link as translations. Once done, update the page again and see if double links appear again.

Thanks
