This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
You are receiving security scan alerts indicating that WPML SEO and WPML Sticky Links plugins appear to be abandoned due to lack of recent updates.
Solution:
We understand your concerns. Both WPML SEO and Sticky Links plugins are stable and have not caused major issues, which is why updates have not been frequent. However, we released an update for WPML SEO recently, so you should update this plugin to resolve any security warnings. We are also actively working on improvements for both plugins and will release updates if necessary. Rest assured, both plugins are still actively maintained.

If this solution does not apply to your case, or if it seems outdated, we recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If you still need assistance, please open a new support ticket at WPML support forum.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to address security scan alerts related to WPML SEO and WPML Sticky Links plugins on my site hidden link. The alerts indicate that these plugins seem abandoned as their last update was years ago.

Symptoms:
I am receiving security scan alerts that WPML SEO and WPML Sticky Links plugins appear to be abandoned.

Questions:
If the plugins are not abandoned, can you change the version number and update them to stop the security warnings?
If the plugins are abandoned, which alternative plugins should I use?

Hello There,
Thanks for contacting WPML Support.

I understand your concern. Both the WPML SEO and Sticky Links plugins are stable, and we haven’t received any major reports of them causing issues or breaking sites, which is why updates haven’t been frequent. However, we did release an update for WPML SEO yesterday, so you can update the plugin, and this should resolve any security warnings related to it.

We are actively working on improvements and new features for both the WPML SEO and Sticky Links plugins. If necessary, we will release an update for the Sticky Links plugin as well.

Rest assured, both plugins are still being actively maintained.

Feel free to let me know if you have any other questions or need clarification. I will be happy to assist.

Best regards,
Prosenjit
