Background of the issue:
I am trying to activate the WPML Translation Editor using our WPML Lifetime version. When I activate it in the options and attempt to translate a sample page, I encounter an issue. The problem can be seen on this page: hidden link.
Symptoms:
When attempting to translate a sample page, I receive the message 'WPML could not translate this page' instead of seeing the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE).
Questions:
Why am I receiving an error message when trying to use the WPML Translation Editor?
How can I successfully activate and use the Advanced Translation Editor (ATE)?
Our team was able to find and fix the problem. The issue was due to an invalid option stored in WordPress' options table in the database (WPML_TM_AMS). They fixed it following these steps:
- Switched to Classic Editor in WPML -> Settings.
- Removed that key from options table.
- Switched back to Advanced Translation Editor in WPML -> Settings.
After that I used your last provided site key to register the site and translated hidden link. This is working fine now, please check and confirm.
