Background of the issue:
Lately we have started language cleanup on our website. We have deleted some translated pages, created new ones, add more languages, etc. Combined it was around 1000 pages across 12 translated languages. But we have problem only with one page hidden link. When trying to update translation or create a new one in other language, ATE ends up with error 502 when accessing it. I already tried a lot of debugging. WPML troubleshooting, checking memory limit..., removing page from translation jobs, also disabling all plugins except WPML. Nothing helped yet.
Symptoms:
ATE ends up with error 502 when accessing hidden link for translation or creating a new one in other languages.
Questions:
Are there any other options which you can recommend to solve this issue?
It is "group blocks" from those ones on the screenshot and below. But problem is in the whole parent group, it doesn't matter which ones you delete, you just need to delete a lot of them. Then you don't get 502 error with ATE.
On my localhost, I can translate the page without any issues so it must be some error happening specific on the live site
It looks like there is some php error happening on your site which is creating the problem, being so can you please follow the below steps and share me the results.
I split the page content into two pages so they are smaller and both were translated ok. So the problem probably is ATE 502 response, because the page is big and it got timeout. Not because of some block issue.
Since the same page works without any issues in my test setup, I don't think it's due to large size, an error message should show when the file size is higher than expected.
Since it's hard to replicate I suggest you to continue editing the page and see if you can replicate it again.
Look forward to your reply.
Thanks
