Billing issue. If i select manually every post translation I get a certain amount of credit requested. If I go through the translations dashboard, for the same article is 3 times the amount! Why?

This is what I did:

1. I took the last post I published and sent it to translation on Translations Dashboard.
2. I made a slight edit on the page (changed one word)
3. Checked how many credits I need to update the slight change through the post list on wordpress by clicking on the round arrow. The result is that I need to spend 2 credits to update each the translation. This makes sense, it's one word. I didn't translate, I want to use Translations Dashboard because it takes much less time, and I can send many articles at a time.
4. I go to the Translations Dashboard and I check how many credits I need to update the EXACT same post, and I find out that I need 194 credits.

This thing is not good. I have to spend 200x for doing the same work just because I can send many articles at a time? So if I click manually and update post by post (in the post list, clicking the round arrow icon) I spend 8 credits to update this post. If I go through the translation dashboard i have to spend 776 credits.

Why?

Hello there,

It seems unusual, I just tested on my local setup and the credits are showing fine. So it looks like a different site specific issue.

Can you provide me few pages link to test?

Further, To debug this issue further, I would need to check your site settings once, for this I would need temporary access (wp-admin and ftp) to your site.

So could you please provide me with those details, you will find the needed fields for this below the comment area when you log in to leave your next reply.

Hello,

I can confirm the issue and the numbers appear to be in-consistent.

I sent the post for translations

via WPML → Translation Dashboard. Although the displayed numbers were high, the page was translated successfully and only 62 credits were deducted. This suggests that it may be a display issue, as the credit deduction itself seems correct.

Could you please check this?

I look forward to your response.

Thank you.

Please, can you suggest where can I see the actual credit taken for the ATE automatic translations from the WPML > translations dashboard?

I don't know where I can check it. Thanks.

Hello 🙂

Please review your automatic translation charges in WPML > Translation Dashboard > Translation Tools > Overview > Automatic translation usage reports

Let me know if this helps.

Thanks
