Background of the issue:
I am creating pages of language based on the other 2 existing languages. However, I would like to override the content using not the original language but another language.

Symptoms:
I am unable to override content using a language other than the original one.

Questions:
How can I override content using a different language than the original one?

Thank you for contacting WPML support. While one of my colleagues will take over this ticket shortly, let me assist you with the issue in the meantime.

Content overriding is only available for the primary language, which means you can only copy content from the primary language.

To address this, you can try setting your secondary language as the primary language. Here's how:

1. Disconnect the page from the primary language by following these instructions: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-disconnect-translations-from-the-default-language-page-or-post/ .

2. Reconnect the page and, during the process, set your secondary language as the primary language.

Once this is complete, you should be able to duplicate the content into the new target language as desired.
