Problem:
You are trying to save manual translations using WPML, but after clicking 'Translate Next Line,' the previous translation area appears blank. The translation still exists but only shows as blank when the mouse is moved away.
Solution:
We recommend updating your WPML plugin and add-ons to the latest version, specifically to 4.8.3, to benefit from the latest bug fixes and improvements. You can find the latest versions in your WPML account under My Account -> Downloads. If updates are not visible, you might need to click the 'Check for updates' button in the Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab. Remember to backup your database before proceeding. If the issue persists, try creating a new test page to see if the problem continues.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to save manual translations using WPML on a site under development. I've entered the translation into the text box.

Symptoms:
After clicking 'Translate Next Line,' the previous translation area appears blank. However, when I click that area, I find the earlier translation still exists—it only shows as blank again when I move the mouse away.

Questions:
How do I save manual translations?

You can check the latest released versions under "My Account -> Downloads" on this site.

If you do not see the updates, you might need to click the Check for updates button in the Plugins → Add New Plugin → Commercial tab.

Please remember to backup your database before you proceed.
