This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
If you're experiencing issues with image alignment in a multilingual site using WPML and Elementor, where images within Hebrew (RTL) text are not aligning as expected compared to their English (LTR) counterparts.
Solution:
We recommend checking how your theme or page builder, such as Elementor, handles RTL layouts. WPML sets the language direction, but the actual layout response, including image alignment, is controlled by Elementor and your theme. You might need to adjust the Elementor widgets and templates manually or apply CSS that uses logical properties for alignment, rather than fixed directional values. For further assistance, consider reaching out to Elementor Support.

Please note that this solution might be outdated or not applicable to your specific case. We highly recommend checking related known issues at https://wpml.org/known-issues/, verifying the version of the permanent fix, and confirming that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins. If the issue persists, please open a new support ticket with us for personalized assistance.

Hello,
See hidden link
The pictures within the Hebrew (RTL) text are aligned to the left, right, and left.
In the English (LTR) translation hidden link they are also aligned left, right and left.
I wish they were aligned right, left and right, since what I meant was to be relative to the text according to the language.

Hello,

WPML itself does not control how layouts are transformed when switching to a right‑to‑left language. WPML simply sets the language direction so WordPress recognizes the page as RTL.

The way layouts respond—whether sidebars move, menus flip, or images change alignment—is determined by the active theme or page builder. Since you are using Elementor, the alignment of images and sections depends on how Elementor’s widgets and templates are styled. Elementor generally respects RTL direction for text and containers, but image positions or custom layouts may need to be adjusted manually or styled with CSS that supports both LTR and RTL.

WPML provides the language direction, but Elementor and your theme are responsible for how the layout adapts to RTL. If you want images or other elements to switch sides automatically, this needs to be supported in Elementor’s design settings or implemented with CSS rules that use logical properties (like margin-inline-start/end) instead of fixed left/right values.

This means you would likely have the same result if you disable WPML and set WordPress to the site's default language, Hebrew.

I would suggest consulting the Elementor Support on this matter.

Best regards
Andreas
