Problem:
You are experiencing unusually long delays when translating pages using WPML. The translations appear to be stuck and do not complete as expected.
Solution:
We discovered an issue related to the CMS Masters Importer plugin that was causing the translation process to stall. Here are the steps we recommend:
1. Disable the CMS Masters Importer plugin.
2. Test the translation process again to see if the issue is resolved.
If disabling the plugin resolves the problem, you may continue using WPML without this plugin or seek an alternative solution. If the issue persists or if you need further assistance, we recommend visiting the WPML support forum. Additionally, it's a good practice to check for related known issues, verify the version of the permanent fix, and confirm that you have installed the latest versions of themes and plugins.

Background of the issue:
I am trying to translate three pages using WPML, but the translations are taking longer than usual. The issue can be seen at the following link: hidden link

Symptoms:
The translations are spinning for several minutes and seem to be stuck, whereas they are usually almost immediate.

Questions:
Why are my translations taking longer than usual?
How can I resolve the issue of translations being stuck?

Not three pages. Three items. Since these three were stuck, I tried creating a new page in the main language of the site (french) and to translate it. It is spinning forever as well.

Otherwise I could provide you with the site's credentials there is no sensitive infos on it. It is not a staging site though: I have created one but when I tried to share it here there were technical issues.

On WPML > Settings > Custom Fields Translation all fields have been set to "Translate".

This is not recommended. You should only set fields to "Translate" if they contain a value that actually needs a translation.

Options and settings should always be set to "Copy".

Further, you have set everything to "Translate" on WPML > Settings > Post Types Translation. Also, this is not recommended.

I have made some adjustments now.

I see there is one job for a contact form that has a configuration issue regarding the sender's email on the original form.

Could you please fix this issue and leave me a message once this issue is solved?

I might need access to the database here, but sadly I am not able to access the database of the site using a plugin. (I get a FORBIDDEN error).

Would it be possible for you to allow me access to the database?

Would you be willing to access the database via my godaddy account? I could provide you with the credentials. You could then open phpMyAdmin. I am not aware of any restriction for accessing the database.

Otherwise, what is the plugin you are using? I might try to connect on my side.

Ok, I suspect that we might need to clean up the table for translation jobs, which is called wp_icl_translation_status.

If you could provide access to GoDaddy I can offer to take a closer look, but please take a backup of the database first.

I need to 2FA code to access the account.

It might be better if we try a different approach.

1) Install a free plugin to manage the database, like WPphpmyadmin or Adminer.

2) Make sure that access to the database is granted through the plugin.
