Let me know if the solution provided in chat resolved the issue.
If not, don't hesitate to provide me with an admin access so I can get a closer look – preferably to a test site where the issue has been replicated.
I will activate a private field for your next answer where you can provide that information safely (this field is only visible by you and the support team). Don't share your own admin account, create a new one that you will delete when we finish troubleshooting.
IMPORTANT: Before we proceed, please backup your site and database.
It seems that you're not using the default /wp-admin URL to log into your site, it gives me an error 404 (Page not found). I have reactivated the private field, so you can correct that URL.
In the meantime, I checked your debug information and everything looks fine except that you are using old versions of WPML and String Translation. You can download the latest versions of all our plugins directly from your WPML account.
- Go to https://wpml.org/account/downloads/
- Click on "Download WPML manually" to see all plugins and download them
- In your WP dashboard, go to "Plugins > Add new" and use the button at the top of your screen to upload the .zip file
You've shared the credentials on the public forum. I removed them but for security reason, please delete that account immediately or at least change its password.
I have activated a private form for you next answer where you can share that information safely. If you don't see that form, don't share your credentials.
I spent quite some time on your site and tried different solutions without any luck:
- Resend some strings to translation
- Troubleshooting options (from "WPML > Troubleshooting")
- Regenerate .mo files
- Rescan theme
It seems that .mo files weren't created in /languages/wpml for this language
Also I noticed that if I activate "Auto register strings for translation" I have the translations on the frontend but as soon as I deactivate it I get the original language (English) again.
At the end on the "WPML > String Translation" page, at the bottom, I exported the .po for the quote_form textdomain with Spanish translations. Then I used poedit to generate the .mo version of that file and I uploaded it manually in /wp-content/languages/wpml
1. Please review your Spanish translation in String Translation
Then to make sure that the issue is completely resolved:
2. Could you please see if you have any issues updating strings from that domain (change some translations and see if the changes are displayed on the frontend
3. Also try with string from a different textdomain
