Background of the issue:
I am trying to use the WPML plugin to translate everything on our website. Previously, I received some fixes from Norman, but they did not resolve the issues. I also requested for the support topic to remain open, but it was closed. We need our website translated as soon as possible to avoid losing business.

Symptoms:
The plugin is filled with errors, and when I attempt to translate pages, nothing changes. The plugin is not working as expected and is full of bugs.

Questions:
Why is the WPML plugin not translating pages as expected?
What can be done to fix the errors and bugs in the plugin?

Hi Kor,

I am not happy with this could you give me a full list so I can copy and paste the requirements necessary so we can send it to our web developer since he knows more about this stuff than me.

This is what you need to do from your end.

1. Increase the WordPress Memory Limit.
You can increase it by adding the following code in your wp-config.php file, right before the /* That’s all, stop editing! Happy publishing. */ line:

define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );
define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' );

After adding the code you can confirm that the memory was changed correctly from WPML > Support > WordPress > Memory limit.

2. Enable "Multibyte String extension" as explained here hidden link . This should be done by your hosting provider.

Once you've fixed the above, you can retry the translation again and let me know if it works.
