Tell us what you are trying to do?
have the same SEO pictures from sctknudsborg.dk on .de & .com

Is there any documentation that you are following?
I have looked in the FAQ with out luck

Is there a similar example that we can see?
yes.. posting fx sctknudsborg.dk in whatsapp or on facebook it shows a drone picture (the correct photo) ... using sctknudsborg.de or sctknudsborg.com you will only se our logo

The same goes for all other links

What is the link to your site?
sctknudsborg.dk

It might be a very simple solution but I need you expertize please!

I am inserting the debug info but I dont think something is wrong there

By the way WPML is amazing & it has an amazing structure!

Kind regards
Martin Finnemann

Hi Martin

I can see on your site if I inspect the page source that the head section includes this correct meta tag on the .dk page:

<meta property="og:image" content="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">

but it includes this erroneous meta tag on the .de page:

<meta property="og:image" content="<em><u>hidden link</u></em>">

I just tested this on my local site and it appeared to work correctly, so I need to do a further test in an environment that uses different domains for each language.

I'll work on that and get back to you.

It also works as expected on my multi-domain test set up, too.

Can I check how you add the main image to the page (the large one which should appear when sharing the links on social media etc.)?

Dear Nigel

Sorry for the late responce due to work loads
Thank you for your efforts!

The seo images are added via rankmath in the divi builder.
I have discovered this morning that if I change the laungage and activate the divi builder I can change the images - meaning I have to change/insert all the pictures manually for German and english.

Is there a way where they can be transfered automatically?

Thank you!

OK, I see now that on the DE page the image source itself is from the DK site, which would explain why the meta tags are "wrong".

Looking in to this further, I see that it is the same issue as this: https://wpml.org/errata/wrong-url-on-translated-media-files-when-using-a-different-domain-per-language/

On my test site I made the change to the plugin code indicated, and it worked, but it works for newly translated posts only. (Neither method 1 nor method 2 to update existing translations worked on my test site.)

So in your case, you are not using the WPML Media plugin, so you will need to install it, then make the change to the code indicated in that known issue page.

Then, to fix existing content you will need to either re-translate it, or edit the translated page and replace the image.

Can you try that and let me know how you get on?
