Hi there, Thanks in advance for taking the time to help me out. We are running a Dutch website on avstyle.nl and are translating it to English on avstyle.com. About 99% of the website is translated and it works like a charm. However, there are a few links and buttons not showing up for translation or, more likely, I can't find them.. can you please take a look and point me in the right direction? For example on this English page: hidden link in the section "Prime Series" on the right is a tooltip image. When you hover on the tooltip (+) the text and button are in English as expected, but the button "Select options" links to the Dutch product page: hidden link. This should be hidden link. Another example is on the English homepage hidden link, first section. There is a "Order now" button for the VanityPro. The text on the button is translated correctly, but the link redirects to the Dutch product page (hidden link). This should be hidden link. There are a few more different examples of strings that I can't figure out to translate, but most likely they all work the same. If you can point me in the right direction I can probably figure out the rest. Thanks a lot and kind regards, |

Hello Mark, Thank you for contacting the support. Meanwhile this ticket is attended by one of my colleagues, please try the following: IMPORTANT: Take full backup of your website and database beforehand. - Fix “WP Memory Limit” to at least 128MB while 256MB is recommended. See https://wpml.org/home/minimum-requirements/ for detailed information. You can set this in your wp-config.php file by adding following code: define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '128M' ); define( 'WP_MAX_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' ); Remember to add these lines before the line where it says: Then check the following guides: - To find the strings that are not found in WPML -> String Translation or elsewhere: https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/string-translation/finding-strings-that-dont-appear-on-the-string-translation-page/ - To find and translate the URLs: https://wpml.org/faq/how-to-translate-urls-shortcodes-and-html-attributes-using-the-advanced-translation-editor/ On the other hand, you may also go to WPML -> Settings -> Translate Link Targets and try to scan (see attached) and see if it helps. Regards. |

Hi Waqas, Thank you for getting back to me. I fixed the memory limit per your advice. The PHP memory limit was already raised, but I missed this one, thanks. I'll take a look at the articles you shared to check if that works. The "Translate Link Targets" button breaks the whole website unfortunately. I've tried this before and that messed up all the urls/links, requiring a backup restore. So I won't be pressing that button again.. 🙂 Kind regards, |
