This thread is resolved. Here is a description of the problem and solution.

Problem:
The client is trying to understand how WPML functions within a multisite setup, especially when individual sites have custom domains.
Solution:
We explained that WPML treats each subsite in a multisite network as an independent website. This means that WPML will function on each subsite regardless of the language settings, whether it's language per parameter, domains, etc. Each subsite is considered a separate WPML website.
If this solution doesn't seem relevant to your situation, please feel free to open a new support ticket with us.

Tell us what you are trying to do?
I have a multisite setup and installed WPML in the network admin. I wanted to understand how does wpml work in this multisite setup for individual sites and will WPML work same in case of custom domain for the same?

Is there any documentation that you are following?
Yes, I did find this : https://wpml.org/documentation/support/multisite-support/

Is there a similar example that we can see?
You can check hidden link which is also a multisite and production instance of the same.

What is the link to your site?
The links for the partner sites are: hidden link

Hello,

yes, WPML treats each subsite as a new website / single website and will function independently on each, doesn't matter what language settings they are using, language per parameter, domains and etc. Each subsite is a WPML website for itself.

Let me know if any other doubts.

Regards,
Drazen
