Hi everyone,

I tried to translate the Avada layouts following your instructions:

1- Go to Avada > Layouts
2- Switch the language to "All languages" from the admin bar
3- Create the layout in all languages
4- Create the layout section in all languages
5- When translating the content of the layout that was created with the Avada builder, make sure not to use the translation editor. So just switch to the secondary language and create the translation content.

But I encounter a bit of problems:

1. When I switch to "All languages" and create my layout and translate it into the second language, when I try to assign product categories to it, they are not all shown in the list.
2. Then I tried to assign the categories by selecting one language at a time and so I succeeded.
3. The result, however, is that in the front end the categories are not visible with the layout I assigned to them.

I did these tests using the layout you see in the second screenshot (NEW - Cucina Classico).

How can I solve it?

Thank you!

Hi,

Thanks for contacting WPML forums support. I'll be glad to help you today.

First of all, sorry for the late reply due to a higher workload. I would need to look closely at your site, so I would need to request temporary access (WP-Admin and FTP)
– preferably to a test site where the problem has been replicated if possible –
in order to be of better help and check if some configurations might need to be changed.

Your next answer will be private, which means only you and I can access it.

❌ Please backup your database and website ❌

✙ I would need your permission to de-activate and re-activate the Plugins and the Theme and change configurations on the site. This is also a reason the backup is critical.

✙ I also need your permission to take a local copy of your site to debug the issue without affecting your live site.

Best regards,
Osama

Hi,

Thanks for the access details. I was able to add the English category to the layout. Please check it and let me know if it works correctly.

Best regards,
Osama

Unfortunately not working yet.

Seems there is a mismatch between the content I set for categories layout and what I see in the frontend.

This is the default lang version of category layout (the right one):
hidden link

And this is the same in eng:
hidden link

For products in the front end, the problem is that for one type of product you see the wrong layout (what should be used for the category), while for another type of product the layout is correct.

the right layout:
hidden link

the wrong one:
hidden link

The strange thing is that in the Layout for all products is correctly set. See attachment.

Hi,

1) I think there is a conflict between your layouts because the categories have different content templates. Kindly check the following screenshots:

1- English category: hidden link

2- Italian category: hidden link

Please check if there is any other layout that has the same categories in the display options.

2) The products are in the default language, so I don't think it's a translation issue because when deactivating WPML, the product layout will be the same. (Kindly check this hidden link)

Best regards,
Osama
