I created a post type with ACF. I created a field group with ACF. I set the field group to "Different fields across languages". I translated the field via String Translation. The translation doesn't work.
I've successfully reproduced the problem on our sandbox site, and I will proceed to escalate it to our 2nd Tier Support for additional assistance. I'll get back to you as soon as I receive feedback.
Our 2nd Tier Support checked and the translated field choices will appear when you change your profile language to the language page that you're viewing. I've tested this on our sandbox site and it worked.
Hi Kor,
Thx for looking into this. Yes, I can confirm that changing the user language also changes the language of the custom field in the backend. I find it confusing since standard taxonomies don't behave like that. I always see the correct translation in the backend (see screenshot as a reference).
Unfortunately, I still have the issue in the front-end. The filter doesn't load the translation of the custom field (it's all translated with string translation). See screencast.
We apologize for the inconvenience, I would like to request a site snapshot. Alternatively, with your permission, I can create a snapshot on my own on your Website.
For this purpose, we typically recommend using the free plugin "Duplicator." If you are already familiar with how Duplicator works ( https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/), please skip the following steps and simply send me the archive file you downloaded.
To assist you further, please follow these instructions:
Watch the Duplicator instructions video: hidden link
If the archive file exceeds 400MB in size, please utilize Duplicator's file filters to exclude the cache, wp-uploads directory, media, and archive files.
Once you have the archive file, please share the link with us. You can use services such as Google Drive, Dropbox, or similar platforms as the snapshot file will likely be large.
Please note that your next reply will be private, visible only to you and me. You can paste the link to the file there. Rest assured that once the issue is resolved, I will delete the local site.
I have successfully imported this into my local development site, and I will conduct a more thorough investigation. I will get back to you with my findings.
We apologize for any delays in addressing this matter. Regrettably, we still require additional information on how to reproduce this issue. Could you please install the necessary plugins on this sandbox site: hidden link and attempt to replicate the problem? Afterward, our 2nd Tier Support team will reevaluate the situation and work on finding a solution for you.
